The Berkshire Museum in Western Massachusetts has just re-opened after a two-year renovation project that overhauled and re-designed the entire first floor and main galleries. The design was lead by principal architect Yo-ichiro Hakomori from StudioHAU. The results are quite impressive, further cementing the Berkshire Museum's leading role in the region's community.
We shot these photos a few days before the museum welcomed back the public. Moving quickly throughout the small footprint, we were able to shoot 18 photos in 7.5 hours, averaging 25 minutes per shot. As you can imagine, the aquarium was the trickiest to shoot. It required multiple exposure plates, multiple focus points and shutter speeds, in order to freeze the fish in action and show off the design.
