When living in Los Angeles, I was lucky to be a freelancer to augment the LAMA in-house photography team led by Karl Seifert. LAMA was the first auction house to specialize in 20th century modern art and furniture. Now, as part of the Wright Auction family, LAMA is a full-service auction house with frequent online auctions and a steady stream of stunning artworks and furniture that need to be photographed for documentation and sales. Seifert was brought on to create the in-house team. The in-house studio also served sister houses, like Wright and Rago. As an expert in ecom and digital workflows, I was able to help Karl and his team refine their workflow to save time and money. We photographed everything from small collectibles to priceless artworks and furniture by the most famous 20th century artists and designers.
